FREERIDE JUNIORS BY DAKINE

In its second year in 2012, the Freeride Juniors by Dakine Tour has already become an integral part of the Freeride World Tour asset landscape. Popularity and participation rates of the Junior Events clearly show that there is a demand for an entry point into our sport and its unique competition routine. At the same time, the Juniors weekends represent an ideal platform to transmit valuable knowledge about security aspects detrimental to a sport in a high mountain area. Riding responsibly and save is a key factor in our sport and is therefore extensively addressed during several mandatory workshops and seminars at every Freeride Juniors by Dakine event.
Below you will find a description of the Freeride Juniors by Dakine Tour and a description of several communication measures that surround this year’s tour to increase its popularity even more.

Freeride Juniors by Dakine event description
The second year of Freeride World Tour Juniors by Dakine events starts this weekend in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. This season, Juniors aged 14-17 will be ranked based on their results from the three events in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, Fieberbrunn and Verbier with the overall winners announced in Verbier in March. In addition to the competition, Juniors will take part in a series of workshops to learn about and apply safe practices on the mountain. They will also learn how to scope lines under the direction of Freeride legend Seb Michaud and Xtreme Verbier winner Cyril Neri - how cool is that?! Dakine has been instrumental in launching this great program for Juniors ably assisted by Scott who will be ensuring winners at all three events go away with their individual choice of Scott skis.
