The idea of staging an ASP six-star rated event for the best female surf-ers in the world in Europe’s surfingcapital came to fruition in 2010, when the inaugural SWATCH GIRLS PRO FRANCE was staged at les Bourdaines beach, Seignosse, crowning Stephanie Gilmore as event champion. The concept behind the SGPF’s inception was to come to Europe’s surfingMec-ca, giving the girls the opportunity to showcase their skills in the world’s best beachbreaks, in a top class event offering the best hospitality, facilities and organisation.The concept went global in 2011 when the SWATCH GIRLS PRO CHINA made history as the first-evertop level event in China, hosting the world’s best women longboarders in the tropical waters of Hainan Island. Both France and China events have continued from strength to strength each year since, with a focus on fun, innovation, top class talent and quality locales.This year, the SWATCH GIRLS PRO FRANCE is more hotly-anticipated than ever, and promises the big-gest crowds to date being held at the height of the summer holidays. While the action in the water promises to reach all new levels, the night time festivities that the event has become renowned for including live music, DJ’s and parties have also established the SWATCH GIRLS PRO FRANCE 2013 as the must-see surfingfestival of the year.

ASP PRO JUNIOR SCHEDULE
The ASP Pro Junior features the hot-test talent under 20 years of age and it’s quite common to see the top girls surfng in both competitions. The pri-ority on the surf conditions is normal-ly given to the ASP 6 star event with the Juniors taking every opportunity they get to show their talent. The ASP Pro Junior is normally com-prised of 3 early rounds that then lead to quarter, semi’s and the Final. The Final is a 25-minute woman-on-woman heat with the 2013 SWATCH GIRLS PRO FRANCE JUNIOR CHAM-PION winning USD 1,200 prize money.

On May 25th Zürich’s new skate park will have its inauguration. Besides the official ceremony of the city council, DC will present a contest named hOmeLand. In six different zones of the park, best trick contests will be held. Each of those six zones will have a purse of 750.- ready for the winners. First five areas on the street course and then there’s a final Bowl Session with a live concert… All in all 6000.- which will be given away throughout the day.

Turntables will keep your head bouncing all day long and beer and BBQ are waiting, too. The pricegiving will be held a little later at the afterparty at Amboss Rampe, a neat venue in the heart of the city.

This summer SuperRad is returning to Tignes to bring you two weeks of summer snowboard camps, radness and goodtimes!
Following the success of the last years camps, and this winter, we are proud to bring the camp back to Tignes, a location we know and love so well, the best spot in France for freestyle progression and easy access slopes. The summer camps are all about developing you as a snowboarder whether it be on the pistes, in the park, on the tv screen, on the trampolines……everything we aim to do during the camp week whether you realise it or not is aimed towards developing your riding, whether it be fitness, agility…the list is endless and all with the most fun its legal to have.

The Camp
Tignes in summer has recently undergone a snowpark revival, and is now home to one of the most unique and fun parks in the alps. The short transfer time from the town to the slopes, allows for maximum shred time. At SuperRad we will take you through the foundations of snowboarding to fast foward your shredding, inside and outside the park, whatever your level.

Your time with us will involve – 6 full days of on hill coaching, lots of video feedback, off hill coaching sessions, trampolining, slacklining, awesome activities every afternoon, great food and lots of fun! All overseen by some of the highest qualified people to ride planks of wood down snowy hills. They’re pretty cool people too.

Our main focus is you, your riding and how you want to develop as a snowboarder. We want you to get super rad! Our camps have limited availability, only 12 spaces each week, which allows us to provide a coaching ratio of 1 coach to 6 people to maximize your development. Each course is a week long, and includes 6 days of snowboard coaching, lift pass, accommodation and food.
The Accommodation

We are stoked to team up with the crew at Lo Terrachu, a summer hotspot in town situated right on the lake front with the infamouse ‘Fingers’ directly opposite and only 2mins walk from the centre of Tignes le Lac. A relaxed hotel, with thriving restaurant and bar, under new ownership… some very good friends of SuperRad. Lo Terrachu is a local favourite with something for everyone. For SuperRad, it is a place to eat, sleep, relax, and wind down from the day. These guys will also take care of your nutritional needs with Dunc, the awesome chef that he is! Each camp is £680 per person per week.

Additional Infomation
Included with your lift pass is your very own sports card, providing you with free access to all of Tignes recreational grounds, including tennis, volleyball, football, skate park, lake ski jumps, water slides and just about anything you can think of. If you have a mountain bike, it is worth making a note that all mountain bike users may use the ski lifts and bike trails free of charge too! Not included is travel to and from the resort and insurance. However we can offer advice on the easiest ways to get that sorted. All courses Arrive/Depart Saturday-Saturday.
